Optimization and Resources Planning
ZECG brings expertise in the development and application
of state-of-the-art quantitative planning, operating, and
management techniques such as computer-based simulation and
linear programming optimization models. That expertise includes
construction of optimization and simulation models for electric
reliability grids and pipeline networks. Families of interconnected
models, for example, might be used to analyze postulated contingencies
on the gas pipelines to determine their potential effects
on power generation.
Representative examples of such work include the following:
- A natural gas pipeline simulation, involving the design,
development and implementation of a transmission pipeline
model of a major Southern Cone pipeline network encompassing
more than two hundred and fifty delivery points along the
pipeline system, The model is used for daily nominations,
dispatch and balancing of supplies.
- A natural gas optimization model for a world-class consulting
firm used for the purposes of planning, purchasing, scheduling
and dispatch of gas in the most efficient manner.
- An LP-based resource development model used to rationalize
energy resource development and optimize transportation
of energy products.
ZECG combines its modeling and planning expertise with an
extensive database platform in offering superior client solutions.
