Reserves Evaluation, Gas Supply and Operations
As gas-supply competition intensifies, participants along
the global gas-supply chain recognize that securing stable
and competitively priced supplies is challenging, at best,
and negotiations can be rigorous. ZECG brings deep expertise
in procurement strategy. Furthermore, our experience in the
delivery infrastructure enables us to provide our clients
with optimal supply strategies. Our gas supply professionals
provide the leadership necessary to bring complex deals to
focus and completion and are effective in negotiation planning
& strategy, managing negotiations, problem solving and
closing.
In many cases, reserves supporting a project are crucial
to either a final investment decision, or project financing,
or both. ZECG brings experience in the world's leading gas
basins combined with expertise in estimating reserves, whether
for the purpose of reporting, investment, financing or divestiture.
Estimation techniques range from a variety of volumetric,
material-balance and decline-curve techniques to reservoir
simulation.
ZECG also brings expertise in pipeline operations, debottlenecking,
compression analysis, grid-reinforcement simulation and gathering
studies. In addition, our principals and practice leaders
have provided strategic planning counsel to pipeline and utility
clients in the areas of gas supply, regulatory strategy and
operations; performed rates and cost-of-service studies; prepared
filings with provincial, state and federal agencies; prepared
expert testimony for contested regulatory proceedings; performed
feasibility studies related to the purchase, storage and dispatch
of gas supply; evaluated various gas peak-shaving alternatives
(e.g., conventional underground storage, LNG and propane-air
plant); and studied the comparative economics and rate impacts
of various pipeline expansion projects.
Our collective gas practice combines all the requisite skills,
enabling comprehensive client solutions.
