Furthermore, ZECG's program management (PM) expertise encompasses all processes leading to commercial operation. PM includes establishing proprietary and open-art technologies, selecting process licensors, establishing and managing the bidding processes, awarding FEED and lump-sum turnkey EPCC contracts and overseeing all work as program manager from the pre-FEED stage, through and including commissioning and commercial operation. ZECG will assure that the principal contractors deliver a project on time, within budget and in accordance with rigorous specifications.
ZECG principals and senior advisors have brought successful energy projects valued in excess of $20 billion to fruition, and bring a philosophy of creating value in the very early stages of a project. For example, we recognize that as much as 40 percent of the opportunity to beneficially affect project costs occurs during the pre-project phase. For the sake of example, let's say that the cost of pre-project work falls in the vicinity of roughly half a percent of the total project cost. Since overall beneficial effects can reduce total installed cost by 25 percent or more and render certain operating benefits, the investment in this activity has the potential of being repaid at a rate as high as 20 to 1.
